Introduction
Christianity teaches believe in God. That is good and righteousness. But the problem is that today people believe all kinds of things which are not only false but also misleading into the hell fire.
Again, in the world, we have so many types of religions and churches, including ministries, fellowships and camps. The effort is good, but many practices are false or irrelevant. This clear statement of fact has glaring evidence before us everyday. The evidence is that each of the religion claims to be the best, and the church claims to be teaching the Truth. The real problem is that the teachings of the various religions and churches are different and also contradictory. Besides, the religious beliefs and practices cause conflicts, crisis, violence and discrimination in the midst of humanity. All these differences, contradictions, and so on, show that the religions do not know and teach the Truth. If they had known the Truth, they would be teaching the same things and uniting mankind.
In other words, people should not just believe things simply because their religion said it. There is need for spiritual research in order to prove the right things true and prove the wrong things false.
It is quite unfortunate that man has developed all things and failed to develop himself. He boasts of Computer Science, Physical Science, Chemical Science, Social Science, Political Science, etc, but has neglected the most important one, which is Spiritual Science.
Even more disappointing is the fact that while Science has progressed by research and development, religion has backslided because the religious leaders were not spiritually awake, enlightened and experienced. Also, they were not interested in research and confirmation of their beliefs and practices.
The result has been, over the years, that humanity are steadily straying away from God more and more, instead of seeking, knowing and practicing the Truth. Unfortunately, the third world war is now looming, with prevalence of crisis, murder, kidnapping, famine, pestilence, wars and rumours of wars. It is the time to investigate all things.
Meaning Of Spiritual Research
Spiritual research is the ability to conduct an investigation of every belief or practice, using spiritual science, in order to confirm the validity of what is true or disapprove those things that are false.
Importance Of Spiritual Research
Benefits of spiritual research inlcude the following:
- A clear knowledge of the Truth. It is not enough to have religions, churches, ministries, fellowships, etc, when they do not know and teach the Truth.
- A clear demonstration of what is true is possible. Believing is not enough, and it is a disgrace to be an ignorant believer.
- People should be able to differentiate the true churches from the false ones.
- Today, majority of the dead are not entering heaven simply because they failed to seek and know the Truth. They were more interested in man-made religions which are often misleading, than in seeking for the Truth that gives eternal life.
- Spiritual research provides a comprehensive explanation and coverage of the issues of life. Currently, man is only interested in scientific development. But Science is very much limited and at times misleading. For example, Science teaches about living things and non-livings, but Spiritual Science shows that all things are living. Evidence is the intelligent and versatile computer developed from silicon (sand) chips. Sands been the result of decayed rocks. The computer bear testimony that what Jesus said many years ago is true.
37 Then, as He was now drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen, 38 saying:
"'Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the LORD!'
Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!"
39 And some of the Pharisees called to Him from the crowd, "Teacher, rebuke Your disciples."
40 But He answered and said to them, "I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out."
Luke 19:37-40
- By spiritual research, man is able to discover the root causes of his problems. Thereby, he is enabled to seek and obtain right remedies, and not to be treating the symptoms of diseases.
- Spiritual research and practice make people use their natural talents. We should bear in mind that all talents are first spiritual before they are physical. As such, the talents can best be used as spiritual tools.
- By encouraging the use of spiritual talents, people grow in spirit. Today, majority are dead in spirit without knowing it. And everyday, situations worsen.
- Spiritual research ensures both spiritual and general wellbeing of humanity.
- Spiritual research is very economic. It saves a lot of costs. It is not fund- guzzling like academic or scientific research.
- Ordinary research is time-consuming and labour-intensive, while spiritual research is time-saving with little or no labour. The findings of spiritual research are obtained by engaging in periods of rest, quiet times and meditation.
- Scientific research may be difficult and confusing, but spiritual research is easy and enlightening.
- Avoidance of harm is possible in spiritual research, unlike scientific research which has led to the death of so many people.
- One great benefit of spiritual research is reduction in ego, which is one of the reasons why humanity were sent to school on earth. It is no longer, “I discovered this and that,” or that my company invented that. Instead, it becomes “God said,” “God revealed,” or “God did this and that.” People engage in scientific research for selfish reasons: to make money, to become famous or to achieve greatness. But spiritual research teaches us selflessness, humility and love.
